My bio:  On the morning of December 19, 1998 I looked out in my front yard and thought, "that looks like a Malamute standing in the street." Turns out Holly's original owners got a Christmas pup and dumped her (and  their two labs) out in the desert near my house. Holly, being the bright dog that she is, took the selection of her new owner into her own paws. How she knew I was looking for a Malamute is beyond me, however I could not have done better if I'd searched the globe for her. She's the best Christmas givt I've ever gotten.  Holly was my introduction to the world of obedience training, and we have had a ball over the years competing. When Holly is in the mood she's an incredible obedience dog. When she's not...well lets just say  she's hard to beat when it comes to "creative" ways to fail at obedience and embarrass her handler. She completed her CD with scores in the 190's and finished her last leg with a 196.5 and a first place  ribbon. She completed her CDX with high scores as well. While she is honestly a bon-bons and cozy spot on the couch dog at heart, she humored me and earned both her pack dog and working team dog titles.  Much to everyone's surprise, Holly loves to weight pull. She  frequently out-pulls much larger dogs and has a number of "high  percent pulled" awards to her name.  At over 10 years of age I dusted Holly off and with almost no practice she earned her Rally Novice title with two perfect 100's and in the  ribbons every time. She's still running with the team, and still enjoys obedience (and dis-obedience) as much as ever.
