Blue

breed: Husky
nicknames: Blubie, Boo, Boobie (no comments), Boo Boo, Boo-berry Muffin, Muffin

birth date: 11-2-04
favorite dog to run with: Anyone! Well, except for Niko…someday I WILL run with him and we will be a great team.
favorite toy: my froggie!
favorite food: I’m a very slow eater – I’ll eat anything, but I have to eat it slowly! I do this to drive my brothers and sister nuts!
favorite pastime: scootering! running at the dog park, playing chase, being loveable, teasing other dogs so they will chase me, belly rubs, someone say kitties?
I’m best friend(s) with: Noah, Duncan, Joey and everyone at the dog park, especially the dogs who chase me. I also love Henning, Enzo, Denis and Jack.
pet-peeves: Why don’t all the dogs continually chase me at the park? Sometimes, I end up running all by myself! Why can’t we scooter every day? Why do my mommy and daddy sometimes leave the house without me?
if I could change anything in the world, it would be… to have miles and miles of nice dirt trails (better yet, snow!) and cold, cold weather so we could run, run, run! 24/7! I dream about this every day!
I love my parent(s) because… they saved me from the shelter and showed me how fun it is to use all of my energy in a constructive way. Because of them, I also have a ton of great husky friends now.
my bio: We found Blue on the OC Shelter web page and he looked exactly like Noah - or so we thought. Had to rescue him. At the shelter, we accidentally met Blue’s neighbor who told us Blue’s original family abandoned him in the back yard when they moved. The nice neighbor found Blue a home – that lasted only two days – and he ended up in the shelter. She ran down to the shelter as soon as she found out he was there and that’s when we met her. We can’t believe how lucky we are that we were able to adopt him. Originally, we were not going to keep him and just ‘foster’ him and Chuck was going to help us place him. Well, being the foster failures we are, that idea lasted only a minute. Blue was nine months old when we adopted him and needed some training and we worked on his socialization skills…now he is an awesome boy! Just looking at him makes you smile and he is extremely loving and playful. His personality is also completely different from Noah’s by the way. It’s because of Blue and his high energy level we decided to go to our first Mushing Clinic two years ago which then led into our involvement with urbanmushing. Because we got his papers from the neighbor, we were able to trace his lineage and found he has strong links to Seppala lines – that’s probably where he gets his energy from! Thank goodness for this great and loving boy
