Bluegrass Howl and Yowl - Living Free Event

October 25, 2014

Living Free Animal Sanctuary, Mountain Center, CA

If you feel like getting some fresh mountain air, listening to some Bluegrass music, and learn about different activities you can with your dog....all for the benefit of an adoption event and a no-kill shelter, then come visit the Living Free Animal Sanctuary up in Idyllwild this Saturday, October 25th. The Bluegrass Howl and Yowl event starts at noon tomorrow and ends at 4 PM. It features different bluegrass bands, pet-related vendors, and demonstrations on different fun activities to do with your dog including urban mushing. A handful of us will be there with our dogs to give a presentation and show folks how they can get started on a great way to exercise their dogs.

Christmas Fun Run and Holiday Potluck Brunch

December 21, 2013

Fairview Park, Costa Mesa, CA

Dashing through the trails... Join us for our annual Christmas Run this Saturday, December 21, at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa! Tis the season to be jolly, so wear your Santa hats, decorate your scooters, ring your sleigh bells, and spread some holiday cheer! Reindeers and elves welcome....just make sure you bring your own poop bags (for the reindeer - hopefully the elves know how to use the restroom). The weather will not be frightful and is forecasted to be quite delightful - sunny with lows in the mid-40s. We will assemble at the grassy area by the parking lot at 7:15 AM. AFTER our run, if you don't need to rush off to the mall, come join us for a holiday potluck tailgate brunch at the parking lot. We will have a couple of stoves on hand and we can cook omelets, sausages, pancakes, etc., and drink eggnog, er, I meant cook more eggs. Let us know what you can bring so we know what we can contribute by posting to our Yahoo group or by emailing Rancy at info@urbanmushing.com.
