The (not so) Great Serum
Run Race Rules
1.
Race Officials: The
Race Marshal is solely responsible for the
interpretation and enforcement of all policies and race rules. The Race
Marshal is also solely responsible for determining and assessing any
penalties and disciplinary actions. All
decisions are final.
2.
Safety Equipment:
All mushers must wear helmets.
3.
Dog Care:
All dogs should be in good health, physically able to participate in the
event, and have all legally required vaccinations current. Injured or sick
dogs or those appearing unable to compete will be disqualified.
4.
Sportsmanship: All
mushers must use civil conduct and act in a sportsmanlike manner throughout
the race. Abusive treatment of anyone or any dog is
strictly
prohibited.
5.
Passing: When
one team approaches within
ten
(10)
feet of another team, the team behind shall have the immediate right of way
upon demand. The musher ahead must,
to the
best of
his/her ability,
allow
the other team to pass.
6. Attitude: Have fun! Anyone not
having a good time will be locked up in a pen with 4 siberian husky puppies
until such a time that the musher is relaxed and smiling from ear to ear.
